Good tips on the governance subject. If only those who're sceptical about Sharepoint were willing to participate - most of the time they don't want to have anything to do with Sharepoint and that includes being in a governance committee :)

This is a good point and definitely something to remember about. There is an easy way of automatically displaying document sizes in libraries using jQuery - see: http://sharepointresourcecenter.com/docid1365.html

Great blog by the way!

Have you had any experience with these? Specifically, I want to access appropriately formatted Sharepoint Blogs using integrated security on my Blackberry.

I had a look at Silverdust's website and thought it was ironic that their Wiki was on Confluence (which I love, btw). ;)

Are Companies ready for "OPEN" dialog? As companies continue to work on organizational change and behavioral change using different collaboration tools, more people are able to participate and more people will benefit with "OPEN" dialog. A great example that has already begun to demonstrate this type of dialog (or sometimes called Microblogging) is the use of the discussion threads. Collaboration requires active listening and interactions to drive innovation improvements. "CLOSED" dialog does not allow others to participate or offer suggestions and opinions unless they are solicited or somehow get into the "know".

Are others too afraid of making a mistake that companies all cannot be more "OPEN" with their dialog; by doing so without fear of being judged and allowing us all to surface new perspectives. Are you afraid for making a mistake in the open? Or is it much safer to have a closed conversation for you?
